Custom Builds

Software Development
With AI in the Loop.

We build the software that no vendor sells you, because it only exists in your company. AI writes and reviews a large share of the code under human direction, which puts a custom build within reach of companies that were priced out of one.

Last reviewed

The short version

  • Software development in four shapes: MVPs, internal tools, AI features inside existing products, and web applications.
  • No price list, because nothing here is off the shelf. You get a written quote after a scoping call.
  • Two models: an hourly rate, or one fixed project price agreed before we start.
  • AI writes and reviews much of the code. A person reviews every line before it ships.
  • You own the repository, the documentation and the deployment. No lock in.
  • B2B only, working remotely across the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom.

What is AI assisted software development?

AI assisted software development is custom software built with AI models writing and reviewing code under the direction of an engineer. The engineer still decides the architecture, reviews every change and carries the responsibility. What changes is the cost of the work, which puts bespoke software within reach of companies that previously had to settle for a standard product.

Scope

What we build.

MVP and prototype

From an idea to something people can actually use.

A first version that real users can open, click and judge. Scoped down to the one thing the product has to prove, so you learn whether it works before the budget is gone. What survives the test becomes the foundation of the real product rather than being thrown away.

  • A working product to show investors or a first customer
  • One core workflow, built properly, everything else deferred
  • A codebase you can keep building on, not a throwaway demo

Internal tools and business software

The system no vendor sells, because it is yours.

Most companies run a critical process on a spreadsheet that only one person understands. We turn that into software: a proper interface, real permissions, an audit trail, and a database that does not break when two people edit at once. Built around how you already work rather than forcing a standard product on you.

  • Quoting, planning or approval tools with real user roles
  • Dashboards that pull from the systems you already run
  • Portals for clients, partners or field staff

AI features in existing software

Adding intelligence without a rebuild.

Your product exists and works. What it lacks is the layer that reads language, searches meaning instead of keywords, or acts on its own. We build that into what you already have: retrieval over your own documents, assistants that know your data, agents that complete a task and report back.

  • Search that understands the question, not just the words
  • An assistant trained on your own documentation and data
  • Agents that carry out a task inside your product

Websites and web applications

Fast, measurable, and yours to keep.

Marketing sites and web applications built for speed, search visibility and conversion tracking from the first commit, rather than bolted on afterwards. This website is a working example: the tracking, the structured data and the answer engine files were part of the build, not a later project.

  • Marketing sites with tracking and structured data built in
  • Customer facing web applications with logins and payments
  • Rebuilds of sites that got slow, unmeasurable or unmaintainable
Method

How a software development project runs.

The expensive failure in software development is building the wrong thing precisely. So the first step costs you nothing and is deliberately about narrowing the brief, not widening it.

  1. 01

    Scoping call

Thirty minutes to establish what you actually need, which is rarely what the first brief says. We separate the part that has to exist from the part that only sounds good, and tell you honestly if a standard product would serve you better than a custom build.

  2. 02

A quote you can decide on

After scoping you get a written proposal: what gets built, in what order, and what it costs. Either an hourly rate or a fixed project price, whichever fits the shape of the work. No open ended budget, no surprise change requests.

  3. 03

Building with AI in the loop

AI writes and reviews a large share of the code under human direction. That is why a custom build is affordable for companies that were previously priced out of one. Every line is reviewed by a person before it ships, because generated code that nobody understands is a liability, not an asset.

  4. 04

    Handover you can live with

You get the repository, the documentation and the deployment. Running it does not depend on us. If you want us to keep maintaining it, that is a separate arrangement rather than a lock in.

Tooling

What does the building.

Naming these is the point. AI assisted is a phrase anyone can put on a page, and you may want to know what your codebase was actually built with before you own it.

Claude Code, Cowork and Design

The main working environment. Code for building and refactoring, Cowork for running longer tasks across a project, Design for interface work. An engineer directs it and reviews the result.

ChatGPT Codex

Used as a second opinion on the same problem. Two different models rarely make the same mistake, so disagreement between them is a useful signal about where a change needs a closer look.

OpenClaw and Hermes

Self hosted agent runtimes with memory that survives a session. Used where something has to keep running after the build is finished, for example a service that watches, checks or maintains rather than one that answers a request.

The stack itself

Next.js and Node for web, Python where data and models are involved, Postgres and vector databases for storage. Ordinary, well documented technology that another developer can pick up.

Pricing

Why there is no price list here

Nothing on this page is a product off the shelf. A one screen internal tool and a customer facing platform with logins and payments are not the same job, and quoting either before understanding it would be guesswork. So the price comes after a conversation, not before.

Hourly rate

For work whose shape changes as you learn: ongoing development, iterating on a live product, or an unclear starting point. You see where the hours go.

Fixed project price

For work that can be defined up front: a scoped MVP, a defined tool, a specific feature. One number agreed before we start, so the budget risk stays with us rather than with you.

Both are quoted in writing after the scoping call. You decide with the number in front of you.

Fit

Who this is for.

A good fit

  • A process or product idea that no standard software covers, so software development is the only route
  • Someone on your side who can answer questions about how the work really runs
  • Willingness to launch a smaller first version and build on it
  • B2B, since ATBM works with business clients only

Not a fit

  • A brief that cannot change, however the first version turns out
  • Projects where an off the shelf product would clearly do the job cheaper
  • Anyone wanting a binding price before the requirements exist
  • Consumer inquiries
Accountability

Who builds it.

Daniel Cenko, founder of All Time Best Media LLC, leads every build personally. There is no handover to a team you never met after the proposal is signed.

The clearest reference is the site you are reading. It is a Next.js application built this way, with the tracking, the structured data and the answer engine files written as part of the build rather than added as a later project.

Questions

Questions before you start.

What does a custom software project cost?

There is no fixed price on this page, because nothing here is a standard product. After a scoping call you get a written quote as either an hourly rate or a fixed project price, whichever fits the work. A one screen internal tool and a customer facing platform are not the same job, and pretending otherwise with a price list would mislead you.

Which AI tools do you actually build with?

Claude Code, Cowork and Design as the main environment, ChatGPT Codex as a second opinion on the same problem, and the self hosted runtimes OpenClaw and Hermes where something has to keep running after handover. We name them because AI assisted on its own is a claim anyone can make, and because you may want to know what your codebase was built with.

What does AI assisted development actually change for me?

It changes the economics. AI writes and reviews a large share of the code under human direction, which makes a custom build realistic for companies that could not previously justify one. What it does not change is responsibility: every line is reviewed by a person before it ships, and you get documentation written for humans.

Do we own the code?

Yes. You get the repository, the documentation and the deployment, and the software runs without us. There is no licence you have to keep paying and no situation where ending the engagement means the product stops working.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes. We read the code first and tell you honestly whether it is worth continuing or whether a rebuild would cost less than the repairs. That assessment is part of the scoping call, not a separate paid audit.

How long does a first version take?

That depends entirely on what has to be in it, which is exactly what the scoping call establishes. What we can commit to is a written timeline in the proposal, before you spend anything, rather than an estimate that quietly doubles once the work starts.

How is software development different from your AI automation service?

Automation connects systems that already exist and makes them work together without a person in the middle. Software development builds something that does not exist yet. If your problem is that two tools do not talk to each other, you want automation. If your problem is that the tool you need was never built, you want this.

Who maintains the software after launch?

You can, because you own it and it is documented. Many clients keep us on for ongoing development, which is agreed separately and never a condition of the build. We tell you at handover which parts realistically need attention over the next year.

Do you work with companies outside the United States?

Yes. All Time Best Media LLC is registered in Wyoming and works remotely with clients across the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Projects run in English or German.

Start with the scope, not the budget.

Thirty minutes. Tell us the problem, we tell you what it would take to solve it, and whether building something is even the right answer. The quote follows in writing.

Book a scoping call

Prefer to write first?

Tell us what should exist and what it has to do.
